What we collect

Your name, email, and password (stored as a bcrypt hash, never in plain text); profile details you add such as school, major, location, headline, bio, skills, work history, and projects; profile and background photos; posts, comments, and messages you send; connections and endorsements; and job or scholarship applications you submit.

How we use it

To run the features you're using — matching you to jobs and scholarships, showing endorsements, and messaging. We send account-related emails (welcome, job matches, password resets, and a one-time graduation reminder if you gave us a graduation date) through our email provider, Resend. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who can see what

Your email address is never shown to other members. Your online status, endorsements, and connections list can each be hidden from other members from your Settings and profile. Direct messages and your connections list are private to you.

Your rights

You can view and edit almost everything in your profile at any time. From Settings, you can download a complete export of your data, or permanently delete your account and all associated data.

Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, optional two-factor authentication (TOTP) is available from Settings, and all traffic is encrypted over HTTPS.

Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists, and permanently delete it when you delete your account.
